Hinduism and Christianity are two religions that have existed for thousands of years. Both these religions have developed many philosophies on different aspects which can be compared to show their similarities and differences. The Hindu and Christian religions agree on many things. Based on humanity, our society also follows some rules due to religion and laws. Many different concepts have been promised from sacred literature, but they should all lead you to the same effects, such as a happy and healthy life, a contribution to the world around us and a kind of freedom after death. . Some of the main topics one can reflect on after learning the history and foundations of these religions are the paths to enlightenment and/or salvation, the style of treating women through religious aspects, and the afterlife. This article will provide an analytical comparison of these two religions in relation to the topics. One of the most important elements in history are religions. The Hindu religion probably began about 2,500 years before the Common Era (BCE) in India. It was geographically based along the Indus River, which was called “Hindu” so called by the Persians when they migrated to India. They also called the land Hindustan and its residents, Hindus. Subsequently, the religion that followed was called Hinduism. Today, nearly around 800 million people practice the Hindu religion worldwide. Besides a religion, Hinduism is a way of life through philosophy that is primarily concerned with spirituality and enlightenment. The impracticability of the Hindu religion comes from the Vedas. The Vedas are the oldest scriptures of the Hindu religion and are considered simple... middle of paper... the actual books are by unknown authors who only want to expand the basics of the religion. Since Hinduism was considered a way of life before a religion, many people accepted the doctrine and contributed to it. However, in Christianity, the books were all presented by different people from different times. People would have no way of contacting Jesus or his followers, yet their work is still considered very significant. What people can boast about is that the most confusing thing about the Bible is that not a single word came from the hand of Jesus himself. The only problem is that you can basically force Jesus to do whatever people want him to do through the use of story. The paths to enlightenment and/or salvation are very different in their method due to the application of duty within and upon and the complete lack of it in one another.
