One way I can change my diet is to add more nutrient-dense foods. Eliminate junk foods, including chips, sweets, cookies, cakes and other unhealthy snacks. Instead of going to fast food restaurants, I can also make a salad or prepare healthy, lean dinners that contain all the food groups. Eating fruit can also be a way to ensure I get the nutrients I need. I might make a cup of my favorite fruit i.e. pineapple and strawberries, I should also make sure the fruit is fresh and has no added sugar or preservatives. It would also help if I slowly eliminated unhealthy foods from my diet and replaced them with nutrient-dense foods, because I feel like if I completely changed my diet from what I'm used to, it would be harder to do. I also have to add vegetables to my diet because I rarely eat them. Ways I can add vegetables to my diet are to steam them, grill them, or bake them. Or, when I go to a restaurant, instead of eating my usual french fries, I might choose a side of broccoli, corn, or steamed vegetables. These are some ways I can eliminate unhealthy foods and add more nutrient-dense foods that will help me develop a healthier lifestyle
