Globalization is an issue that has attracted a lot of global attention in the past. For example, the media is abuzz with stories regarding how political instability in Ukraine and other countries experiencing political instabilities is affecting other nations. Although there are many problems or disadvantages associated with globalization, in my opinion, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Subsequently, globalization leads to high levels of Human Development Index (HDI). The HDI is considered a calculator of the financial well-being of a nation or people. Globalization has also led to an increase in the Human Development Index, opened up opportunities for women, and led to the creation and expansion of many global companies that employ many people around the world. Through globalization, there has also arisen the need to establish international institutions such as the United Nations that help promote and maintain peace and unity throughout the world. Globalization has also led to the centralization of resources as people are able to access assets easily, and also through mergers of major international organizations or institutions.
