I couldn't get to a local computer store because, well, there isn't one. What used to be here in town is now an antique shop. I recently went to Best Buy and saw a phone that I really liked. It's called Samsung Instinct. I have Sprint so I knew I could use the phone. Later that evening I explored the website and thought it would be a great opportunity to talk about my awesome new phone. The Samsung Instinct represents each of the major components of the system. They include input, storage, and output. There are many ways that Instinct can do each of these things. I'll just talk about a few of them. There is only one way to feed information into Instinct. This is done via the touch screen. There are no other keys with which you can do anything other than go back, go home or to the conversation screen. At first it was very confusing how to move from one point to another, but I soon realized that my finger had all the power. I was able to fit in so much information and it got me where I wanted to go every time. Another example of input on the Instinct is speech recognition. You can just say someone's name and they will call them. If there is more than one with a certain name, the computer will offer you a choice of options. You choose the calls. Other times he immediately calls out the name of the person you mention. This was really amazing since you don't have to pre-register names. Memory is an important part of this phone. Unfortunately, the phone's internal memory isn't much. This is why Samsung has decided to give everyone who buys an Instinct a free memory card to insert into the phone. It's a good deal for a consumer to not have to buy extra stuff for the phone. The memory card allows me to store up to 2GB. So far I have downloaded about 7 Guitar Hero ringtones and have about 30 songs stored on my MP3 player. The memory is not even half full. One output feature of the Instinct is the fact that you can connect it to your computer and transfer information to and from the device. It's a really cool feature since I can upload songs I already have instead of paying for them.
