In what can be called a vicious cycle starting with the war on drugs, a war that has unfairly targeted minorities from the beginning. A war that has helped contribute to the disintegration of the black family and added to the constant socioeconomic struggle that perpetuates crime in many communities. These communities experience constant and unjust policing that feeds so many young people into the system, which discredits them, imprisons them, and ultimately destroys them. Full of discriminatory practices that have been overlooked for years under the guise of achieving a “Victory”. A victory that perhaps will never come
