Child artists? Naturally! Child artists are beneficial to society. The issue here that causes controversy is whether or not child performers should be able to perform. With kids competing in sports at stake, laws shouldn't tell kids not to follow their dreams. It is very important to consider this debate because there are many different types of child actors and they all perform their performances differently, so some people's views about child actors may not apply to children who compete in sports. So now think about the last time you watched television. Maybe you were watching the Olympics, or maybe a show with kids (like Modern Family, for example). Did you know that anyone under 18 in those programs would be considered a child artist? Yes, even some competitive skaters would be considered child performers. First of all, a ban wouldn't eliminate all child artists, it would only reduce their number. Think of ALL the gun laws in place in Chicago. Before all those laws, more people could get a gun and there were more shootings. With all the new laws, criminals supposedly can't get a gun and shootings of children and adults should be gone! Of course, there aren't that many shootings and criminals have to go through a very long process to even try to get a gun. But criminals still have firearms, are able to obtain them, and shootings still occur many times a year. A recent study conducted by Dr. Eric Fleegler of Boston, published in JAMA Internal Medicine Magazine, states that there is no significant difference in the number of mass shootings that occurred in states with strict gun laws compared to those that occurred in states that have little , or no gun laws. Comparing this to the child for... half a sheet of paper... states 20 massive changes that occurred when the books of those worlds became movies. Now, think about how many more changes would happen if all the kids in those movies were banished and had to be replaced by adults. People probably won't appreciate having their imaginative story world changed even more in a movie than they have in the past, because they've already reacted negatively to the changes so far. It is crucial to consider my evidence: a ban would not eliminate all children. artists, just reduce the number; children relate to children! Children may be more influenced to pursue a sport or talent if they see a child their age achieving; artists must start early, as children, to learn the craft; and child artists are needed in society. So, go ahead and stand up for child artists so they don't get banned. Your vote counts! And remember, if they say no, say yes!
