Ethics is a moral principle on which human behavior is based. Therefore, business ethics is a moral principle on which corporate behavior is based. A successful company strives to achieve a series of objectives that include profit maximization, increased market share, corporate social responsibility and stakeholder satisfaction. The moral objectives or guidelines on which an organization is founded are called ethical objectives. The reasons for establishing such objectives are mainly to promote a positive culture among employees and create a good reputation for the company among customers and suppliers; as well as establishing boundaries between what is right and what is wrong. Therefore, this essay, with reference to the film “Erin Brockovich”, aims to investigate the extent to which ethical objectives influence the future of an organization.
