It is a technique where you set a timer and only work on one task for that period of time. You should also keep a piece of paper near you while you work on that task. You should do this because if you think of something that might distract you, write it down on that piece of paper. This helps you forget whatever is on your mind for later, but it also helps you discover what types of things distract you. This way you can avoid those distractions at all costs while you're still working on your one task. I have used it throughout the semester and find it very affective. I've learned that while I study, my phone and computer need to be away from me to avoid being distracted. The spring semester is getting closer and closer. It's hard to believe that my first semester of college is coming to an end. My academic goal for next semester is to get a B or an A in all of my classes. I tend to get at least a C and will do my best to prevent this from happening. A personal goal I have is to stay involved in my organizations. I also want to attend as many events as possible. Such as different sporting events and academic events. It will allow me to stay involved, hang out with my friends and learn
