In a study conducted by the Pew Research Center, cell phone owners between the ages of 18 and 24 exchanged an average of 109.5 messages per day (Watter, 2011). In addition to texting during class, there are many problems that technology can cause in classrooms. It can serve as a distraction for students during lessons. It is also a way for students to cheat. Students can text each other test answers during the exam without the teacher noticing. These are some of the biggest concerns teachers and parents have about introducing technology into schools. It all leads to an important question: should technology be used in the classroom? If you walked into a high school classroom in your area, what would you expect to see? Do students take thorough notes, while the teacher uses a computer to project a well-structured, easy-to-understand lesson onto the screen? Or is the student texting without having any idea what the teacher is saying? I hope students take notes and don't get distracted by other things. But reality is what it is. So the question is: if we use technology to teach students, how can we prevent it from becoming a distraction in the classroom? It's a shame that technology is seen as such a bad thing by so many people today. In fact, there are so many aspects that are so surprising. For example, we can instantly upload homework to the Web, send teachers our homework, search the Internet for more information than we ever could in a school library, and teachers are able to provide better output in their lessons overall. Five benefits of technology in higher education there are new ways to teach and organize material, deregulation of transfer...... middle of paper ......and also? I think that teaching with the electronic resources we have today would be the most efficient and resourceful way we could offer students.
