Topic > Vietnam: the perfect vacation spot! - 1298

Vietnam is one of those countries whose beauty cannot be understood without ever having visited it. Not much is known about the country, except for its famous noodles, "Pho". For example, only a few people know that the country separated from the Chinese empire in 938 AD. As a result, part of Vietnamese culture has Chinese origins. The local culture revolves around the belief in humanity and harmony which makes them pleasant to be around. However, like other Southeast Asian countries, Vietnam has some security-related issues in different aspects of the country, such as food and transportation. Regardless of these minor safety concerns, Vietnam is certainly a family destination that shouldn't be taken off your bucket list. When visiting a foreign country, safety is one of the most important factors to consider. Luckily, for all those “Pho-thirsty tourists” Vietnam is a relatively safe country to visit. Although crimes exist in Vietnam, crime rates are as high as those in other Southeast Asian countries. The chances of encountering violent crimes are present but are very low. Petty crime, unfortunately, is more likely to occur, especially in tourist sites, but this is also the case in other tourist destinations around the world, including Italy. Furthermore, "Vietnam has a high degree of political and social stability." (Vietnam Travel Safety, n.d.) Undeterred by the country's crime rates, Vietnam's government is governed by a dominant party that helps maintain the integrity of the government. The only group that opposes the ruling party is small and insignificant. Stability in government is caused by having a dominant party, so it is very unlikely that anyone will be involved in an insurrection... middle of paper... in their daily diet. Not having Vietnam as a planned family destination could make you regret your whole life. Works Cited Attitude towards oneself.
