A photovoltaic cell also known as a photovoltaic cell is a special type semiconductor device that converts solar energy into electrical energy. During the process, photons from sunlight are captured by the semiconductor material. The captured electrons are then used to produce energy in the form of electricity. The first practical solar cell was created by Bell Laboratories in 1954, it produced only 1 watt of energy and the cost to produce 1 watt of energy was $250. Photovoltaic cell allowed the use of renewable energy source without leaving any footprint of carbon in the environment. Conventional energy is produced by various methods such as thermal energy, hydroelectric energy, nuclear energy, geothermal energy and hydrogen fuel cells. But they are more expensive than photovoltaic energy and produce pollution. Photovoltaic power generation in solar panels uses a large number of solar cells. There are wide ranges of materials available for manufacturing to make the solar cell. Currently available materials include single-crystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon, amorphous silicon, cadmium telluride, and copper indium gallium selenide/sulfide. Copper solar cables connect modules (module cable), arrays (array cable) and subfields. Due to the growing demand for renewable energy sources, the production of solar cells and photovoltaic panels has made significant progress in recent years. The first practical application of photovoltaic cells is to power orbiting satellites and other space vehicles. Another great example of the photovoltaic module is on networks to connect with energy production. In this case an inverter is needed to convert direct current into alternating current. Cells mounted on a grid require protection from t...... half of paper ......r to the 2011 nation which is three times larger than China's Golmund solar park. The solar park is expected to save around 8 million tonnes of carbon dioxide each year. Furthermore, approximately 900,000 tons of natural gas will be saved per year. The initial energy cost will be $0.29 per kWh for the first 12 years and will subsequently drop to $0.10 per kWh. The electricity generated by the projects will be sold to the power company and will then be distributed to domestic and commercial industries. In conclusion, the result is not simply a step in the direction of energy saving, but also provides a vision to the world that the energy needs of the future generation can be solved in an environmentally friendly way. Stand-alone solar project can benefit the environment and reduce global warming. You can save green by going green!
