Topic > My Roles as a Campaign Manager for Hillary Clinton

The Campaign Manager The job of a campaign manager is to coordinate a campaign's operations such as fundraising, advertising, polling, voting, and other activities at support of the effort. This is exactly my task in my career. I work as campaign manager for candidate Hillary Clinton for the upcoming presidential election. In the book Hardball, by Chris Matthews, Matthews lists many different maxims that can be used as a helpful guide during elections, campaigns, and the presidential period in general. I will strongly encourage my candidate to follow the maxim: “Keep your enemies in front of you” and “Dance with the one who hurt you,” while I encourage her to ignore the maxim: “Speak only when the silence improves.” Have enemies during a presidential campaign can increase the likelihood of a damaged reputation and can create other unnecessary problems. One of the main suggestions I will present to Clinton will be to make sure he keeps his enemies “in check.” Matthews talks about an important maxim, " Keep your enemies before you" (91), which means knowing and keeping tabs on the actions and behaviors of your enemies so that you are aware of what their enemies are doing. After the Battle of Saratoga, two troops gathered and had dinner together immediately after having just pointed guns at each other in a war battle. Speaking about this strategy, Matthew states that: “If you want to hire the best people in any line of business, check out those who work for the toughest competition. ” (103). By hiring someone you might view as a rival or enemy, you actually create a lot of room for new ideas, information, and opportunities. If Clinton took on one of his enemies… half the paper… and. There are clearly many maxims to keep in mind during a presidential election, but also many to ignore. As Hillary Clinton's campaign manager, I strongly encourage her to keep her enemies in close contact with her so that she is aware of anything suspicious or anything that might help boost her reputation among the public. I also encourage Clinton to not only never forget, but never turn her back on those people who once supported her and helped her get to where she is now. Finally, I encourage my candidate to avoid silence as a powerful tool in elections so that she can make her word known and be heard by those who will help her win and become America's next president. My job is to guide Hillary Clinton to become an exceptional candidate and be able to demonstrate to America her reliability and commitment to running a strong and independent country.
