The business world is full of motivated and determined entrepreneurs young and old, all hoping to make it in a competitive industry. A businessman encompasses a variety of different virtues: leadership, tenacity, confidence and interpersonal skills; however, not many people had what Steve Jobs embodied. Born in bustling San Francisco, California, Jobs has always been interested in technology and its benefits. “Early on, Jobs showed an expertise in electronics and a thirst for education. In middle school he complained about not learning anything in school, so his parents moved to Los Altos instead” (Gale, np). Even at a young age, Job's entrepreneurial skills were already shining through; his mind worked constantly, thirsty to satisfy his infinite desire for technology. The dream began when Job saw potential in his friend Steve Wozniak, who was working for Hewlett Packard at the time. Wozniak created amateur computers outside of work, but never with the intention of selling them. With his vision of affordable personal computers, Steve Jobs changed that. On April 1, 1976, one of the most flourishing and successful companies in the IT sector was born in a small garage. The name of the company, Apple Computers, was given because it came before "Atari" in the telephone book and Jobs also followed one of his fruit-based diets, of which apples were one of his staple foods (Isaacson, 54 ). Their goal was to create computers specifically designed to be easy-to-use desktop machines for the general public, a goal that many other rival companies have neglected to pursue.
