If a human can feel emotions and react to them, then animals can too. Animal emotions can be described as subjective, conscious experiences, characterized mainly by psychophysiological expressions, biological reactions and mental states. Scientific studies have shown that animals experience certain feelings. Scientists believe that certain human brain cells called spindle cells are responsible for an individual's social behavior and the interaction between thoughts and feelings. Furthermore, in several studies it has been found that many animals possess this certain cell, however animals clearly do not need this cell to express their feelings.
