Rome also made many bad decisions. One of the worst decisions they made was having to go to war so often that they made other people who weren't even Romans pay taxes. This should have been a warning sign to let them know that they have no more money and need more for the war. This was a bad decision because the people of Rome had to go out, fight and end their lives. The other people of the Roman Empire, who were not even in Rome, had to pay taxes for those men to go to war. This was a bad decision because they were forcing humans to do something. Human beings don't like being forced to do something. They were forced to end their lives and perhaps die while fighting for Rome. This could lead to the fall of a city because, because of this bad decision, their men now sacrifice themselves, against their will and make people who aren't even in Rome pay taxes. Humans don't like being forced to do things, and that was exactly what Rome was doing. In present-day Ukraine, the president ran away and left his country alone. This is a very bad decision. This could lead to the downfall of a society because it now has no government. They have no one to guide them. They also appointed new people in their new government, but did not implement them. They did not allow the Ukrainian people to vote as they wanted. They left them in the dark and now because of that bad decision they now have to live with those choices, whether they were good or bad. In Maze Runner they only have the best people in their job, which is called Keepers making decisions. this could lead to the collapse of a society because people can't choose who... middle of paper... takes control of it. In Rome the poor peasants had their land taken away from them and the rich now have their villas on that land. This could cause the collapse of a society because the poor who produce the food for the citizens are those poor who are now homeless. Now they are homeless and have no farm with which to carry out their work of producing food for the city. Also since now they have no home, no job, and they will start to rebel against the rich, which will create a civil war against the rich. When people are at war it's always bad. If the poor decide not to go against the rich, they will go against the government and ultimately bring them down. This will bring down a society because when a group of people are treated badly and go against the government belligerently, they will change something or take over the entire government..
