Topic > A Brief Biography of John Allen Muhammad - 1174

In Washington DC in 2002, the city was terrorized by a serial killer. His name was John Allen Muhammad with his accomplice Lee Boyd Malvo. This disorder lasted three weeks from September to October. Why did these two serial killers decide to kill people? This is the question people have been asking for years now. John Allen Muhammad, also known as John Allen Williams, was born on December 31, 1960 in Louisiana. After his mother died when Muhammad was four, his Baton Rouge aunt raised him. After Muhammad finished high school he married Carol Kaglear. They had a son and named him Linbergh. He then began a military career that was initially promising. His commanders describe him as friendly and outgoing. In the early 1980s its cracks began to show. He failed to report for duty and hit an officer, causing trouble (Biography, par 1, 2, 3). In the late 1980s Muhammad changed his life. He and his wife had separated, he had converted to Islam and joined the US Army (Biography, par 4). He later changed his name to Muhammad (Death, par 2). He was stationed in Washington State. There he married Mildred Green. They eventually had three children. Being in the army was good for Muhammad. He served in Germany and the Middle East and was skilled as a marksman (Biography, par 4, 5). Muhammad ended up with the army and was left to manage his own affairs. The first business he attempted to run was a machine shop. After failing, he attempted to open a Karate school, but it also failed. Mildred, Muhammad's second wife, divorced him. She then ordered a restraining order against him. Muhammad then left with their three sons for Antigua. In Antigua Muhammad met his next accomplice, Lee Boyd Malvo. Mu...... half of the sheet ...... at his execution (Lethal Injection, par 256, Meserve, par 31). She did not show up for her execution, but would take her body back to Louisiana and plan the burial. Muhammad's second wife, Mildred, said that when she and Muhammad divorced she separated from him, so she did not go to his execution (Meserve, par 34, 35). In conclusion John Allen Muhammad was executed for the 2002 DC sniper shooting. Now the city of Washington DC can rest easy knowing he is not in danger. Have the lives of people who lost loved ones been drastically changed for the worse, or have their lives gotten easier with time? Let's hope they regain the strength to move forward and overcome this sniper shooting tragedy. This tragedy should be a lesson to everyone to face things and not let them control every aspect of people's lives and how they live them.
