Organized crime is defined as a systematic illicit activity aimed at profiting a city, a state or an illegal profit on an international scale. These criminal organizations keep their activities secret. In some cases the gangs can be considered sufficient and systematic enough to be defined as organized. Criminal organizations in general need the help of society or have someone of high political standing to help them carry out the illegal processes. They could be law enforcement, judges, and other important political figures. Without the involvement of these important individuals, organized crime could not exist. There are many examples of organized crime. The first type I will talk about is racketeering. The racket most commonly used by the mafia is a criminal conspiracy organized to commit extortion. Labor racketeering is an example of racketeering that involves the misuse of organized labor for criminal purposes. This may include exploitation of employers, union members, or both. Employers may be forced to pay employees who are not working. They may also be forced to pay corrupt officials to ensure workplace peace and avoid publicity. Union workers pay a pension that can be managed more in the interest of the mafiosi than for the workers' pension. The most common and popular organized crime system is the mafia. This organized crime unit grew out of close-knit immigrant groups who didn't trust local authorities. The Mafia is also known as La Cosa Nostra or the Mafia. The name mob was a generic name for clandestine organizations in Sicily and the United States. The Mafia reached the United States in the early 20th century. Italians newly arriving in the United States spoke little or no English. They are grouped in the same neighbor... in the center of the card... gives advantages to both parties to get the job done. When agencies work together to achieve a major goal or objective, the work will get done and those who disobey the law will be punished. Even those who suffer from these organized crime systems will gain peace and justice. The organized crime we once knew in America has changed. While we are familiar with the mafia in Hollywood films, the threat of organized crime is on a much larger scale. International terrorist groups and the financial gains they receive from organized criminal groups must be stopped. With a new perspective on the topic of organized crime, Americans can now know that the situation is being managed and that their safety and well-being are being taken care of. We as a nation will do whatever is necessary to be free and promote the well-being of all people. Our history has proven this and it will prevail in the future.
