As the term comes to a close, I reflect on my accomplishments in this course. ENG101A was the hardest and most challenging course I've ever taken, but I really feel like it helped me improve as a writer. I never expected to take another English class in my life, let alone go back to college. When I thought about English as a subject, I associated it with reading books or poems on topics I had never been interested in or wanted to write about. I've always liked the sense of creative writing, but in previous studies you rarely get to do what you want in your professional life. I feel like that has changed for me in this class. Maybe it's been so long since I've had a creative outlet to channel thoughts and create something out of nothing. I feel like this course has provided me with a boat and compass to navigate the oceans of my college career and develop the skills needed to excel at writing. I thought my writing prior to this course was satisfactory for my designation and job. I had attended college and worked in the past. During this semester, I realized that I had done many parts of the writing process with ease in the past. I believe that since this course began, I have found my voice in writing and allowed it to speak clearly on the topics we were asked to discuss. My grammar and punctuation rules were rusty. I love using big words and giving my readers very detailed descriptions, in the hope that they will be able to imagine what I'm saying. I am also very careful with my words and try to use a variety of adjectives so as not to sound repetitive. Writing has always come very naturally to me and words come to me when I sit down to write. Unfortunately, this sometimes gives me a tendency to ramble. I like to think I'm a credible source in my writing because I always check my facts to make sure my content is true and
