This assignment will help the reader gain knowledge on “How to Produce a High Level Academic Paper” by discussing the important features of an academic paper which includes the structure/layout of the paper, importance of references and also plagiarism. This assignment will first examine the structure/layout of the academic article by discussing its introduction, main body and conclusion, then the importance of references will be discussed and finally plagiarism will be examined. Structure The structure of an academic paper is highly important as the layout helps the reader follow the order of the paper from start to finish whilst understanding the topic discussed through the use of the information provided and evidence should be displayed for support the person's point or argument. An academic article should have an introduction, a main body, a conclusion and finally any works cited. IntroductionThe introduction to an academic article is the first part of the article that is seen by the reader; therefore, the most important part i.e. the introduction outlines the purpose of this academic article. The introduction also shows the topics that will be addressed during the academic paper and also the layout of the topics to be discussed. An introduction is usually a short paragraph that quickly sets out the topics to be covered and therefore should be approximately one twelfth to one tenth of the overall length of the article.
