The meat-rich carnivorous diet is defined as a diet rich in meat and with little consumption of fruit and vegetables. In total, the study involved 1,320 Austrian subjects who reported their eating habits. The sample consisted of 330 vegetarians (again, some ate meat), 330 people following a "balanced diet", eating meat, vegetables and fruit, 300 so-called "normal" eaters (who I did not include in the data), and 330 whose eating habits were rich in meat. The limitations of these data are due to the fact that the survey was based on cross-sectional data. This means there is no indication of whether the people in the study chose to become vegetarian thinking it would improve their quality of life and health, or whether they became vegetarian after discovering they had a chronic condition in an attempt to improve your health. There is also no information on the long-term effects of these specific diets. Another limitation is that the study subjects each reported their own diet (or what they believed it to be), without giving them a clear definition of their various eating habits..
