Species interact every day, they have relationships with each other. Their surroundings influence how they live. All organisms are connected in an ecosystem. Relationships between organisms are very important. There are many different types of relationships between animals. My favorite relationship between two animals is Predation. Predation is a relationship in which a smaller animal is killed and eaten by a larger animal. For example, a lion will kill a zebra and eat it. The predator is the lion because the lion kills the zebra and feeds on it. The prey is the zebra because it is the animal that is killed and eaten. Another relationship is competition. This happens when two species compete for the same resources. Competition usually happens when you have a limited amount of resources. They compete for food to survive.
