The purpose of this essay is to integrate the photographic process with creative writing. At first glance, you might think that the two mediums don't have much in common. However, upon closer examination, it quickly turns out that this is not entirely true. Photography plays a large and diverse role in creative writing. When I first sat down to write this article, I was focused on the other tip. After browsing through various photographers and their work for a few days, option B still nagged at me. In the back of my mind, I kept thinking about how photography might be of some use in the world of creative writing, my major. I thought about the cover first. Many covers are not pictorial in nature, almost all of them are now digital, but there are covers that usually use panoramic nature scenes, or are closely related to films. These novels contain close-ups of the stars or action sequences from the film on the cover. Another rather common practice in which photographs appear as book covers is in the genre of autobiography. Biographies usually feature the smiling head of the person the book is about, in what can only be considered a disturbing cross between a mugshot and a countryside photo. Therefore, I had now destroyed my original thesis that photography and creative writing were incompatible or at least separate mediums that could not benefit from the inclusion of the other. Now seeing how deep the connection was seemed like a reasonable next step. Thinking about autobiographies and photographs led me to the next connection between the two mediums. While I've never seen a fiction novel with a photo at the center, unlike nonfiction in general, this is especially true in... middle sheet... with Frank Gohlke image.(Gohlke) The process is super simple and effective . Using this process and just a little imagination for anyone of any level of writing skill, entire scenes can be created in moments. In conclusion, it becomes clear that photography and creative writing are indeed closely related. Whether on the cover or between the pages of a book, or integrated into a website, or used to create awareness, or even just as a writing prompt on a stormy Sunday afternoon, photography is an integral part of creative writing now and in the future .Works Cited1.
