Gabriel Iglesias also known as Fluffy was born on July 15, 1976. He was born and raised in San Diego, California. His last name is actually spelled Iglecias with a C because his father missed his birth and his mother wanted to teach him a lesson, so she changed the S to C, but still uses his last name with an S. He started performing in stand- began comedy at the age of twenty-one in 1997. He was always known as the "Big Guy". Gabriel Iglesias actually gave himself the nickname and goes by "Fluffy". Before becoming a comedian, he worked for a cell phone company and also appeared in a show called "All That." His trademark is wearing Hawaiian shirts and he lives in Whittier with his girlfriend and stepson Frankie. His mother had taken him to a video store where she rented an Eddie Murphy comedy tape. That's when he knew what he wanted to do and surprised everyone at his fifth-grade talent show. Which obviously made everyone die of laughter. The name of the stand-up comedy show was Aloha Fluffy, but not only had she done stand-up comedy, but she also acted in movies like Magic Mike. During his routine, what caught attention were the jokes about his weight and his Hispanic heritage. He knows that by making fun of his weight, people will laugh. He is also known for his stories about his life based on true events. His energy during the act was very high. He is a very bubbly person and seems to be that way 24/7. I could tell he really enjoys making people laugh. He is very detailed in his jokes and uses different voices to make them hilarious. Delivering to people was consistent and there was never a dull moment. It was like a suspense movie, when he started talking his lines, you wouldn't know what he says... middle of paper... I would rather see him on my computer or on TV any day. He didn't seem nervous at all. It was natural for him to perform. He didn't use strange hand gestures or walk back and forth. The only thing I noticed, I guess since he's a big guy, he was sweating. I could see it on his forehead and arms, and he noticed it too but, of course, made a joke of it. Of all the comedians there are, Gabriel is one of the funniest comedians for me. My husband and I can watch the same video over and over again. It never gets old. We always enjoy a good laugh. Whenever we're bored we watch stand-up comedy, especially if it stars Gabriel Iglesias. My husband had begged me to get tickets when he came to El Paso, but I was too late and they were sold out. I told him next time if he ever came back I would be the first person to get tickets.
