Topic > Feminism and the Role of Women - 1004

Historically, feminism has evolved from serious examination of gender inequality to a more distinct focus on the social constructions of gender. John Stuart Mill was one of the first feminists of his time and promoted gender equality through The Subjection of Women. Whether his ideas are valid or not, Mill broke down the walls of his time by rebelling against tradition and imposing change. This change allowed the company to enrich itself and exploit its full potential. Mill believed that women of his time (and today) needed to be liberated and conquer every stereotype they had or should have.
