Topic > Eugene Peterson's View on the Role of Religion

Peterson sees spirituality as an integration into daily activities, the church as a protection for people, and the natural world as a method of cultivating an association with God . Tippet sees spirituality as a philosophical method of discovery, the church as a method of compromising and communicating, and the world as a place of interaction. Taylor perceives spirituality as a desire for something more, the church as a reminder of the entire dominion of God, and the world as a place to praise God. Van Sloten sees spirituality as an extension of everyone and everything, the church as a community with the building as an obstacle to faith, and the world as an entire palette for communicating and interacting with God. Although it may seem that Van Sloten is very different from the others, it is proven that each of them is beneficial to the Christian in general
