Scaling as a result of rapid population growth Population size tends to exceed the environmental resources an area can support due to increasing birth rate, decreasing mortality and increased migration. As a result, the overpopulated world is facing global crises such as global warming, depletion of natural resources, unemployment and slowing economic development. A report from The Nation talks about overpopulation in the world in the following way: “The circumference of the earth is approximately 24,900 miles, which today accommodates nearly seven billion people. Every week a million and a half are added." (Shah, 2012) The population, as already mentioned, is altered by the increase in the reproduction rate, due to early marriages and the lack of knowledge regarding family planning and contraceptives. Additionally, with increased innovation and medical advances, mortality rates have decreased, resulting in increased life expectancy. A new study now published in the Annals of Internal Medicine says that in the first four years after Massachusetts instituted health care reform in 2006, the death rate declined. by 2.9%. That percentage is compared to similar populations in states that have not expanded health coverage. (Stern, 2014)However, this is only applicable to a limited extent, as underdeveloped and developing countries cannot provide sufficient, let alone substantial, healthcare facilities to their inhabitants. Even in developed countries, health insurance laws vary and so does the priority given to healthcare, which acts as a limiting factor in decreasing mortality rates. The same restrictions apply to early marriage; although a notable number of countries encourage young people, especially women, to embrace the concept... at the heart of the paper... the issue of food supply itself. Since the prevention of overpopulation seems unlikely since these methods seem ineffective, from now on the problem of unemployment should at least be addressed. More job opportunities should be given and ways to increase job satisfaction should be implemented so that people are also motivated and encouraged to participate.
