Looking back at the poem, you see a similar aspect of life. The poet feels remorse that reminds her of her failure, that is, not having spent time with her mother, when she had time. Lines; “Last Friday I drove from my parents' house to Cochin” (1-2) tells us that the poet is busy with her life and does not live with her parents. She may be busy due to her work or personal reasons. He can't manage the time between his mother and his busy life. Now his mother is old and will soon die. This teaches students a lesson about time management. Students get busy with their lives. There is a lot of work to do. Some simply study and do well but have no social life. Some just have fun and don't study. Students may choose not to attend class due to incompatible goals, motivations, or expectations that distract them from their education. (Rochford, 2001). The result for them is their bad grades. A study conducted on ninety students showed a positive result. Ninety students completed a time management survey in 1983. Their SAT scores were obtained from their respective institutions. After four years, in 1987, the grade point average (GPA) was obtained from the college records. Analysis of this information showed that time management components were responsible for this outcome. It was concluded that time management practices influenced students' college grades.
