In the Gulf of Mexico, many species such as shorebirds, waterfowl, marsh birds, and sea turtles have become nearly extinct due to the oil spill. BP should work with marine and wildlife conservation organizations to restore the ecosystem and replenish the population of those marine species. On the one hand, BP could create a research foundation to seek solutions for the global biodiversity reserve. On the other hand, BP could work with environmental regulators and the government to introduce new safety regulations, to prevent such serious accidents from happening again around the world.
