“In all things of nature there is something wonderful” (Aristotle). Franklin Crabbe is the main character of the novel Crabbe by William Bell. Over the course of the novel, Crabbe learns how pleasant, yet powerful, nature is. In the bush, Tiger enjoys nature; feels important and realizes that responsibility is mandatory for survival. When people get out of their boring routine and into nature, they gain greater self-esteem and learn to appreciate their surroundings. Initially, Crabbe had not enjoyed city life until he ventured into the woods. There, he enjoys the magnificent scenes of nature which made him happier and as a result, he became more satisfied and grateful.
