Silent GenerationThose born before 1943 are referred to as the Silent Generations or Veterans. They are also called traditionalists. People of this generation grew up during World War II and the Great Depression era, where they were part of the struggle or were the children at the time. Patriotism, hard work, team effort and dedication define this generation. They are also the first true innovators of many vaccines for deadly diseases such as tetanus, polio, tuberculosis, etc. Some call them the richest generation. In today's world, the silent generation consists of the majority of retirees and mostly seen during voting times. Social problems: During World War II there were so many upheavals that the values of this generation were greatly affected. While taking part in wars, the behavior of people of this generation was influenced by their own experience. Mostly the men worked, while the women were the housewives who raised their children. Economy: In 1929 the US stock market crashed and the following year a worldwide depression occurred. The Great Depression was the time when America suffered a huge economic recession in which the silent generation suffered tremendously. Many American citizens lost their homes, properties and above all 24% were unemployed. But World War II played an important role in the economic recovery as new industries were built, employment rates increased, and development occurred. Politician: Baby boomers: The generation born between 1940 and 1960 falls into this generation. This generation was born during a peak in births after World War II.
