Imagine yourself as a pregnant mother, carrying your child for 5 weeks. At this point in the pregnancy the baby now has a heartbeat, you still want it. The eighth week arrives, now this baby is finally able to feel pain, at this point you decide that you don't want it anymore and so you decide to have an abortion. Many people think they are making the right decision when they make this choice, but in reality it is a decision that will haunt you for the rest of your life. The average woman finds at least three excuses to have an abortion; ¾ say that if they had the child it would interfere with work or school, another ¾ say they can't afford this child and ½ say they don't want to be a single parent or are having too many complications with their other partner. What if you were one of these women who makes an excuse why you can't have this child? Would you really want to kill him instead of having him? While it is wrong for a woman to continue a pregnancy after rape or incest or if this pregnancy affects the woman's health and well-being, it is also wrong to accept someone's life from them. I am against this because in 2008 approximately 1.21 million abortions took place in the United States. Teens under the age of 15 had 0.05% of all these abortions, but the highest ratio was in 2007. I'll start by telling you about the different types of procedures you can undergo. There are four abortion procedures you can undergo depending on how far along you are in your pregnancy. The first procedure is “First Trimester Aspiration Abortion” and occurs anywhere from four to thirteen weeks after the last menstrual period. During this procedure they insert a long tube inside your uterus which...... middle of paper......or an innocent baby. Think twice before you think abortion is the way to go! I've told you about the types of procedures and what happens during them, the consequences of abortion, and other choices you can make instead of abortion. The average woman offers at least three excuses for having an abortion; ¾ say that if they had the baby it would interfere with work or school, about another ¾ say they can't afford this child, and ½ say they don't want to be a single parent or are having too many complications with their significant other. What if you were one of these women who made an excuse why she couldn't have this child? Would you really want to kill him instead of having him? I'll leave you with all this to think about. Just think of how many lives you could save if you also chose to be pro-life instead of pro-choice.
