To begin with, when I entered the court room I observed seven long rows of benches, a table in front with chairs, the judge's desk and two televisions next to it and a substantial table in front to the judge with microphones. Additionally, I noticed things I wasn't aware of, like the presence of a sheriff, sitting at a table with a computer and a phone, and next to the sheriff a small transparent room containing a microphone instead. After the judge arrived the hearings began, the lawyer from the first case was not present so the Crown asked the sheriff what to do. At this time I was surprised because I was not familiar with the Crown discussing matters with the sheriff. The sheriff said the next case would be postponed, but by then the attorney had come in and the judge allowed the attorney to begin the hearing. This surprised me too as I had anticipated the lawyers arriving late as unacceptable. Since it was my first time visiting the court, I began to realize that the court proceedings were different from what I had imagined.....
