IntroductionIn this essay I will explain why human resource managers need to have a practical understanding of perception; motivation and behavior look like an HR manager. In the rapidly developing world we live in, HR managers have a difficult task in how they see things and how to make the best decisions for their organization. It will be argued that being an HR manager is one of the most difficult tasks with the different types of people we have in the world today with so many influences. Levinson 1978 (cited by Armstrong 2009, p. 301) suggested that “the structure of individual life is shaped by three types of external events: the socio-cultural context, the environment, the role that people play, and the relationship that have and opportunities..." To understand the whole perspective in relation to human perception, motivation and behavior regarding human resource management it is very important for us to have an in-depth understanding of how perception, motivation and behavior are practically practiced in the area of human resource managerPerceptionI believe that perception is the human ability to come to a conclusion about what is seen and heard in reference to the knowledge or past experience that a person may have. For example, you can bring two people to analyze a situation, they will both get different results because of the way they perceive things because of what they know. According to Armstrong (2009) p.307 “perception is the intuitive understanding, recognition and interpretation of things and events” as we are all born as individuals with different backgrounds, cultures, environments and religious beliefs with different ways of seeing and understanding things. things . As Mullins (2007) p.209 says...... half of the paper ...... apply stereotypes as you can miss the best employer for the right job when it comes to job interview. Human resources manager (HRM) is therefore tasked with setting the scenario of the organization which will influence the behavior of the employees and which their objective will be set in target. It is therefore essential that human resource management perfectly defines the organizational culture of the organization. Organizational culture will have a direct impact on employee perception, motivation and behavior. According to Werner et al (2008) organizational culture “is a set of values, beliefs, norms and behavior patterns shared by the organization's members and which guide their behavior”. Having created the right structure with the right motivators, employees will have the right environment to work in and this will create good job satisfaction with excellent results for both.
