Water polo is essentially a culture of its own because of how people's behavior differs from that of the sport and that of people who do not play sports. How this culture came about is crucial to knowing why water polo is a culture. What people wear is something that can change the culture of the sport. Finally, why people like to engage in a sport is another idea of ​​what makes it a culture. There are reasons why water polo can be a culture and this article will demonstrate the facts. This game was developed by a man in Great Britain, William Wilson, in the mid-nineteenth century. The game originated from a form of rugby. The ball was made of Indian rubber and was played on the lochs and rivers of Scotland and England. This game that was played in England was eventually called water polo, which is based on the English pronunciation of the word Balti for ball, meaning pulu (Snyder 2008). Water polo began with brute force rules, grabbing each other and dragging players underwater to get the ball.
