An ethics committee may meet at this time to discuss all options and possible outcomes for those options. Potter, P. (2013) states: “Any person involved in an ethical dilemma, including nurses, doctors, healthcare professionals, patients and family members, can request access to an ethics committee. (p.292) This meeting can take place at the bedside or in a conference room. It is important for the nurse to keep an open mind to the opinions of others and also have her own point of view. Potter, P. (2013) states: “Wherever negotiations occur, the nurse has an obligation to articulate a personal point of view. “. It is also essential that the nurse and the people involved approach the situation based on the principles of autonomy, non-maleficence, beneficence and justice. According to Ellis, J. and Hartley, C. (2012), everyone involved may find it difficult and sometimes painful to make a decision, but at some point a decision must be made. I believe that as nurses we should anticipate the reaction to each solution and be ready to deal with the emotions that may arise from the final solution
