Caitlyn Marie Jenner. This particular name may sound familiar as his name has been heard and seen on hundreds and thousands of newspaper headlines, magazine articles, television shows, radio podcasts, celebrity interviews, and many other social media pages. Caitlyn Jenner, also known as William Bruce Jenner, is an athlete from the 1976 Summer Olympics. She won the men's decathlon and is on the reality television program "Keep Up with the Kardashians". Caitlyn Jenner is known as the most famous transgender person in the world since she openly came out on national television in an interview with Diane Sawyer and on her family's reality show in April 2015. Jenner had undergone extensive surgery plastic and had revealed her gender identification as a “trans woman.” Before this transition she was married three times and has 6 children (Tauber, 2014). As a young adult, I am constantly exposed to photos, stories, and videos of the Kardashian family. On Instagram, Kim Kardashian has over 47.6 million followers. Shopping and passing through stores like Calvin Klein, Kendall Jenner can be seen on all their advertisements. Turning on the television, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” comes on. While waiting to check out items at a grocery store, the big, bold capital letters about Bruce Jenner's transgender story catch your attention as the magazine's headline. It's almost impossible in this day and age not to have heard of Caitlyn Jenner's story. I'm also sure that this move on former athlete Bruce Jenner has caused a lot of controversy and debate about transgenderism. Nearly 17 million people tuned in to see Caitlyn Jenner's announcement that she is a woman (Wheeling, 2015). The movement for transgender rights...... half of the document ...... g the fact that male ideologies exploit sexual differences to create inequality and explaining how it is unfair and immoral to use sexual differences as an argument favor of inequality, I have used this theory of his to apply it to transgender people. Caitlyn Jenner now has a new reality show about her transition as transgender called "I Am Cait." “There are two different things here. Sexuality is who you are personally attracted to, who turns you on. But gender identity has to do with who you are as a person, your soul, and who you identify with inside” (Jenner, 2015). A person's future should not be an immeasurable force but a human choice. Transgender people should be a positive outcome of human culture and life. Caitlyn Marie Jenner is a 65-year-old transgender woman and it was now or never, or “a little too late” if she didn't do what she thought was right.
