According to Mire, referring to the women of the tribe, "they use ancestral shrines to produce rain, for the fertility of human and animal crops, and women usually maintain these traditions" . Mire (2014). Therefore, these traditions are passed down from generation to generation. Another example of tradition is that someone with an Islamic heritage may believe that performing a ritual next to a sacred shrine will keep them safe from evil spirits.
