I think this is important because without your health there is no way to take care of your children. If she sought the services of a social worker, they would be able to get her health services so she could get the help she needs to become healthy and be able to care for her children. From my cultural perspective and experience, I believe Janice's health and well-being is a big deal. In my culture we believe in strength. If Janice were not strong and healthy in mind and body, she would in no way be able to care for her family as well as herself. Even in my culture we believe in providing for our family. I think it's a big problem that Janice can't provide for her family due to lack of work. Without a job there is no way he can put food on the table or pay for housing.
