Classroom management is essential in an educational environment that involves all students. My primary goal is to have a safe and inviting school environment in which students feel comfortable and allows them to reach their full potential and succeed. I believe that students should be taught self-discipline like Gordon's theory (57). When you enforce self-discipline, you need to be able to correct students so they can demonstrate appropriate behavior. While when you teach discipline, you help them learn and develop your expectations and students will acquire this information in a more respectful way. As Gordon stated, students want to feel a sense of community and respecting students and teaching them how you want them to act in the classroom more effectively than me telling them this is how things are done in my classroom. I believe that most students are good, but they can often make bad choices. Although some students are naturally destructive, they normally have a reason why they act destructively. I believe that if students are actively involved in the learning process and are challenged and interested in the topic, they will behave and not be destructive. I believe that all students are equal and should be treated as such. While I fully expect my students to treat me with the utmost respect, I will treat my students with the same respect in return. I believe that mutual respect between teacher and student is a key factor for students to excel in a classroom. When students are treated as equals, they respond and behave very differently than when they are treated disrespectfully. I believe that establishing a classroom management plan de... halfway... means teaching self-discipline so that my students are able to discipline themselves. I believe that by doing this students will learn from their mistakes. I believe that students will respond more effectively to discipline teaching so that they can learn from their mistakes. I feel more comfortable adhering to the classroom management plan adopted by the school; but I should ask my principle for some space for my turn in the program. I would like to have total freedom, but I know that most schools have adopted programs that I have to respect. So by getting permission to change some things, it will be better for me and my students. This will bring great benefits to my students because they will not have to know how the teachers are different in each class and, instead, they will know exactly how to behave and behave in the school together with my class.
