He also woke up very early in the morning, before going to school and preparing breakfast for us. My father worked in the morning for about twelve hours and my mother usually worked at night and sometimes all day. My mother had a very strenuous job, working as a custodian at a local high school. This is why both my parents made education high on their priority lists and together made sure that my siblings and I did the same. This was a good background/education for me, because, as I said before, I struggled with writing and math. Thanks to my mother and father working with me on my writing, reading and math skills at home, I had the right amount of time to practice and improve my skills on a weekly basis. There were times when I was clueless and lost in class, due to my learning style and the teacher's teaching style. Thanks to my parents and grandmother, I was able to recover quickly and join everyone else in mine
