Topic > I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud by William Wordsworth Summary

Wordsworth recounts a joyful walk he took, a walk that had such a profound effect on him that he recounts it with incredible vividness long afterward. While I believe it beautifies some aspects of the landscape, it remains within reasonable limits. It was this landscape that must have broken mechanical practices such as a daily constitutional, and that later breaks a brooding or “empty” mood on a sad or quiet day. Throughout the film he expresses his desire to be one with the daffodils, dancing and swaying in the wind. His wish is fulfilled through his "inner eye", with which he can go back and experience this journey
