With the continuous development of technology, online news is becoming more and more popular thanks to the Internet. Before the advent of the Internet, you had to rely on traditional media tools such as radio or television. However, today people do not have to wait for the news or newspapers that will be published the next day. Furthermore, the Internet has been a very useful tool for journalists. In their “The Online Journalism Handbook”, Paul Bradshaw and Liisa Rohumaa (2011) express their opinions on this topic; “The Internet has given journalists the means to publish at the touch of a button so that stories can (even at the touch of a button) be read globally and in real time” (p.16). Under the given circumstances, without a doubt, the Internet is the best tool for individuals to obtain news. Opponents of this proposal might argue that the Internet is not always accessible. These opponents point out that people must pay for Internet access. In addition to these monthly salaries paid for the Internet, they also argue that some people cannot afford this fee. These opinions are not always true. As a result of technological developments, the Internet is becoming more common and cheaper every day. According to statistics provided by Internet World Stats, from 1995 to 2014 (2014) there was an increase in the rate of the world's population having access to the Internet by almost 40%. In fact, people pay to use many news tools. Furthermore, thanks to Wi-Fi (Free Wireless), most people can use the Internet at no cost.
