Topic > Sungazing, surviving away from the sun: it's possible...

Sungazing is the practice of staring at the sun for food or as a spiritual practice. It is a Native American tradition, but has also appeared in many cultures, dating back to the ancient Egyptians, ancient yogis, and even the early Aztecs, Incas, and perhaps the Mayans. It is believed to be a method of healing, curing physical and mental illnesses. Sun gazing gurus have even claimed that it can lead to supernatural powers and immortality, and people who observe the sun long enough can become inedian, meaning they will no longer need to eat food to survive. Research has found that when direct sunlight hits the eyes, it moves through the hypothalamic tract of the retina and continues into the brain, stimulating the pineal gland. The pineal gland secretes melatonin and serotonin, two hormones that regulate sleep and wake cycles and positive thinking (feelings of happiness, etc.). Melatonin is also a powerful antioxidant, which slows the effects of aging. The pineal gland shrinks and calcifies as we age due to fluoride, toxins and electromagnetic pollution. Sungazing has been shown to increase the size of this gland. Evidence of this is found in an Indian man in his seventies named Hira Ratan Manek. He began observing the sun after his retirement in 1992. When his brain, pineal gland and retina were observed by a medical-scientific team led by Dr. Andrew B. Newberg, they discovered that the gray cells in Hira's brain they were regenerating. It was reported that the neurons in his brain were active instead of dying. His pineal gland was also expanding instead of contracting. Typically, the Pineal gland begins to shrink after the mid-fifties; with an average size of approximately 6 x 6 mm. Hira measures an astonishing 8 x 11mm! More Sun Gaz...... middle of paper ......nd. Walking barefoot stimulates the glands in your toes, as you are strengthened by the warmth of the earth and the sunlight shining on your body, creating a magnetic field that helps recharge you as the sun enters your body. Walk for 45 minutes every day, at least 6 days a week for a year, and you won't need food. After a year you can stop walking barefoot; it only needs a charge from the sun every few days for a few minutes at a time. You may decide to continue walking barefoot to strengthen your immune system, as well as increase your memory and intelligence power. The more you continue to do this, the more activity your pineal gland will become. For more information about the pineal gland and what it is capable of, click here.
