Topic > Three characteristics of being a good leader - 707

There are three things that make a good leader. Qualities such as honesty, trust and the ability to delegate. A leader must be honest with their followers because they admire them and if they feel that the leader cannot be trusted, then they may abandon him. A leader must also have confidence in their work. If they can't hold their ground then it will be easy for someone to uproot them and bring them down. The ability to delegate is the most important because it allows the leader to see the flaws in their own work and then help incorporate others into their work to improve the final product. These are the three most important qualities of a leader. When a leader is honest with his people, he forms a bond between them. This bond is what sustains the leader which in return helps them support their followers better and with more confidence. They are more likely to get along and trust each other because they understand why the other person is doing what they are doing. This way the other party will have no reason to get angry or disapprove because they know and understand the problems the leader faces. It will form a sincere support system that will help not only the followers but also the leader to become stronger in the long run. This is because understanding the other person's motivations will help them not feel betrayed. Think about what would happen if there was no honesty in leadership. The leader could keep his followers secret and then it would no longer be a democracy but would lead to something more like a dictatorship. This could easily lead to disastrous setbacks that would have negative impacts on leadership. Being honest with each other can lead to a happy and more emotional moment... middle of paper... important part. A leader will not have knowledge of every area, so it would be a good idea to have external input on the issue. This can provide a safe blueprint for thinking about and writing deal plans.
