Just as the fish in the Gulf of Mexico have lost their homes, so the animals of Alaska, more specifically the ANWR area, is home to hundreds of species of birds, bears, foxes and many other animals. The 200 million gallons of oil spilled into the Gulf are proof that oil drilling poses a serious threat to the environment. Thousands of animal species, including fish, birds, molluscs, reptiles and mammals. each of these domesticated species has now been contaminated by oil.
