The 1992 film Unforgiven, directed and starring Clint Eastwood, has a central theme which is that of good against evil in which good overcomes evil bringing justice to those who are evil. Munny has changed from the vicious killer he once was and now wants to bring justice to the evil men who harmed the innocent prostitute Delilah and her friend Ned. The film is not at all your traditional Western film as Eastwood's character, Will Munny, has not always been a moral man. However, Will Munny, through the use of violence, aims to balance the battle between good and evil by making sure that evil men get what is coming to them, even if Munny is no saint. Munny knows that death is what everyone deserves. about the terrible things he did in the past. Munny's violent past is mentioned several times throughout the film; including the fact that he killed, sometimes without reason, innocent women and children.
