Journal Note One: A Reflection on Analytics Evaluative literacy is important for every teacher because tests must be able to collect data from every student without discrimination. Ethics is an important part of this assignment because it gives all students the same opportunities to show what they have learned and gives them the same opportunity and opportunity to show what they have learned. It showed me what my strengths are in supervising assessments and also gave me the chance to reflect on my weaknesses. This assignment also allowed me to see what I can still do to be a better instructor throughout the entire test grading process. I have learned that I and the rest of my campus need to do a better job looking at our students' test scores and finding better ways of teaching and what we need to do a better job of teaching. “Most public school teachers today have never been asked, as part of their pre-service or in-service training, to delve significantly into the guts of educational testing.” (Popham, 2004) Heeding Popham's advice, we owe our students every opportunity to learn and receive our best teaching every day. I will take what I learned from this assignment and the checklist we studied to become a better test administrator before the test and after the test to become a better teacher and to better educate all of my students. I need to improve my skills as a teacher and use my students' achievements to best achieve their full capabilities and maximize their learning. Journal Entry Two: A Reflection on the Application “Assessments are a powerful tool that can be built and used by teachers to improve student learning.” (I have... half of the paper... more information about the work in team, which is something they will do much more of in the real world. Teaching my students how to reflect on their educational process, and giving them ample time to practice those reflections with their peers, will lead to higher order thinking and help each. student to piece together information in the material that they may not have learned from me Works Cited Holler, E., Gareis, C. , Martin, J., et al.
