Among targeted youth, solicitation was more commonly reported via instant messaging (43%) and in chat rooms (32%), and harassment was more commonly reported via instant messaging (55%) than through social sites network (27% and 28%, respectively). Children put themselves in grave danger by corresponding online with people they don't know. Internet predators deliberately go to websites such as social media that children visit and may even hunt potential victims based on location or hobby. On the off chance that a predator is in contact with a child, he or she can spot signs from what the child posts while on the Internet, including parents' names, the school he or she attends, class times, and how long distant point they live from a specific point of interest, shop or other
