Most of my teachers practiced personally meaningful education, because they talked about things I thought were interesting, they came and supported me in my games, and they were honest with me. I felt safe in their classroom and didn't have to be afraid or embarrassed to be who I was. Since I am a kinesthetic learner, they found a way to contact me. In classes like physical education and mathematics it was easier for them, because they simply made me demonstrate whether I knew how to do it or not, on the other hand for lessons like history they sometimes made us do role plays or make presentations. In all my lessons I was allowed to use a stress ball to keep my hands busy and stimulate my brain, and the teachers were all for it. Also, we were going to have some sort of current event in my classes, and it was fun because it was something recent and interesting because we went and picked it. I can confidently attest to the fact that teachers who practice personally meaningful education will make their students perform better in class, be more involved in extracurricular activities, and have more self-confidence than teachers who do not.
