Topic > Myths and Legends from the World - 1056

There are many myths and legends in the world and some are more common than others. Different people believe in different myths and legends. They are different myths and legends that correspond to different religions and countries. Myths can be a long or short story, some myths can be more interesting than others. Adam and Eve is one of the common myths, Jewish, Christian and Islamic religious believe that Adam and Eve were the first parents of the entire Gara human being. Adam and Eve were in Genesis, the first book of the Bible that contains two accounts of how Adam and Eve came to be. The first version dates back to 600-400 BC and says that God created all living things, including man and woman, “in his image.” In the second version, which is older than many countries, God (Yahweh) created Adam from dust and breathed “the breath of life” into his nostrils. God created animals so that Adam would not be alone. But God saw that Adam needed a human partner, so he put him to sleep, took one of his ribs from his side, and created Eve. Adam and Eve had a garden called Eden, Eden had four rivers that flowed from the garden and into the world, but the Garden of Eden is a different myth. God created a tree, the tree of knowledge of good and evil, the tree had forbidden fruit. God said not to eat the forbidden fruit, but the serpent on the tree convinced Eve to eat the forbidden fruit and Adam also tasted the forbidden fruit. Adam and Eve immediately lost their innocence, they were ashamed of their nakedness and covered themselves with leaves, when God saw that they had not listened to him he chased Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden. The next myth is not so popular. The myth is Lug, Lug was a God of t...... middle of paper ......and landed in California, Pecos Bill landed so hard he made it to Death Valley. One day when Pecos Bill had been going for years was walking the streets of Laredo, Texas. Pecos Bill saw a Boston man wearing a dapper cowboy outfit and asking stupid questions about the West. Pecos Bill took one look at the man, lay down on the sidewalk, and laughed until he died. Another story says he died after eating a meal of barbed wire washed down with "nitroglycerin." It is no longer strange that in both stories Pecos Bill dies. Adam and Eve and El Dorado are one of the most popular and common myths and legends, but The Lug, Pecos Bill are one of the least popular myths and legends. I chose these myths and legends because I thought it might be interesting to learn about myth and legend that I wasn't aware of. What I found interesting was the amount of people who believed in myths and legends.
